2014 Carlisle Pictures...

The pleasure was mine.

I was scrolling through the pictures, not paying much attention to detail, and I stopped on this car, saying to myself, "Man, that's a nice Imperial." Took me a minute to realize that it is Detroit Matt's.

Cool car.

edited to add:
wait a minute! the next page seemed to show a different interior, and more exposed primer than i thought it had. That looks like it is slightly different from his car. So... Is it?

I am more of a fan of the earlier C bodies than the fuselage and later C-bodies myself so I don't always look closely at the fuselage C bodies. This was the first time I looked closely at this 71. I have never seen a 4 door Fury with a console before. Very cool car.

I'm not sure that console is the correct style for that or even if a console was offered but it's a very cool 4 door hard top and what a color.

Too bad his body man couldn't match the paint better on the pass side rear door

I've not seen one either and it's a very kool car. I think that's only the second 4 door I've seen with a console in it period, the first being a '68 300 4 door hdtp that was posted as a for sale ad here. I wanted that car but it was too big a project. You remember that one Dave, it was near you and red.

The console and buckets does look great and right at home correct or not

What's the hanging under the dash .. vents or stereo equipment? I'm guessing period stereo stuff like 8 Track and FM tuner or something .. on second thought maybe a CB on the left but I see no antenna. Possible magnetic one that's removable?

The owner of that Fury is a member here. The buckets and console were an available option and are original to the car...Nice car with a good guy owner

X2................. Still waiting for your pic's Dave ........... I'm sure you got some great.

No Will, I only grabbed a few of a couple trucks and several from the hill of the grounds. I took those on Friday when Diane and I went out for our Carlisle morning walk.

You and I both talked about this show being a six day event and how you could fill all six days. With the cars, the parts, vendors and the people FOUR days were completely filled and I didn't get to look at MOST of the cars. The people.... oh the people , I probably talked to a couple hundred acquaintances / friends that I only see at that show or a couple times a year. You know yourself that our tents were like a turnstile of people passing through.

Is that whet you wanted to see Will? Yes, Ellie waved me down and motioned for me to take a photo of you sleeping....... but only for a second

Anyone else see the red moon On Saturday? These were taken from the Motel lot as we sat on the lawn watching the cars cruise through. Looking over Hoss's

Of the car shows I've gone to, the best part for me is how you're driving along the highway in a classic amongst the jelly beans and slowly the traffic changes the closer you get to the show and you suddenly realize you're cruising among the cars from your youth....like travelling back in time.

Maybe it's because I like to see the oldies on the road in motion doing what they were made to do.

Deja vu. The gas station pics look oddly familiar. I took this photo of my friends and I fueling up for the ride home. No C bodies in this group, but my buddy who is filling the tank on my Coronet convertible while I took the photo was supposed to bring his 68 Fury convertible along.
