For those that didn't catch this from the other thread...

This one from the west coast sold for $41,000 a few years back, before the car market took a slide...

I know I say this car or that car is my favorite a lot of times, and I have mentioned my "short list" a lot but a 57 DeSoto is my one true love above all others.
My grandfather, who I loved, was one classy Guy!!

That is sweet! Like that wagon too.

This is a friend's 57 DeSoto Adventurer. Dual quad 345. Original paint.

He has put 4 wheel disc brakes on it, the rears being from an early 70's Imperial.

We're so in love with the two doors, we forget how beautiful the wagons were also in their own right.

One of these is in my future but not soon enough.
Your right Stan i'd rather have a convertible but i'd absolutely love a wagon

Can you imagine seeing your grandfather coming home with this for the first time?
It will advance your impending puberty by several years.
Just like this one. Same model and color!

Stan, you are very lucky, I was told my grandfather had great taste in cars too, but I never had the chance to meet him.

And I am very jealous of that DeSoto in the garage. Makes me want to dispense with the conv talk and hold for one of these.

The impression these forward look cars must have left in 1957 can't be fully imagined by someone who didn't face it first hand I guess where a new Mercury f.e. looked like a brick parked next to it, not to mention the various older model year cars in the streets.
