Hello everyone, hope all are well.I have a problem with 62 300 8-3/4 rear axle. The pumpkin was changed to a 489 sure grip sometime in its life and the tapered axles remain, problem with axle bearing is sticking out past housing flange by 5mm , so backing plate is not flush with housing . axles are seated up against thrust block, bearings and races are correct , does anyone know what axle measurement is for original sure grip axle? I suspect open rear axles are in with the sure grip causing the issue. my axles measure 35-1/2 "tip to end of spline. was going to cut or grind axle down but wanted to check for correct length. Iknow thrust blocks were differnt for open vs sure grip . any info would be greatly appreciated Thanks
