Thought I'd drop in and ask the experts.... Just noticed a 1968 Sport Fury on E Bay in MA. Sorry I couldn't post the listing but was wondering if anyone on this site knows the car or maybe of the car or seller. Over all rust condition etc... Cosmetics and steering wheel are not an issue but hidden rust is ... Would appreciate any info. Thanks , Dave

What a good looking car. It would be interesting to pick the brain of the original owner to understand his decision making when checking the order sheet at the dealer. Really need to ditch that aftermarket steering wheel.

I've thought that about the Admiral. It was special ordered with 318/904 trans, A/C, radio delete, 6 pass, black wall tires and full wheel covers. No radio was ever installed. It would be interesting to know what the OO was thinking.
I am familure with the ordering process having spec'd out couple of new vehicles. A lot depends on how knowledgable the sales person is. In 1969 I sat down to order a Hemi GTX and walked away with an A12 Road Runner.

Listing says 77k miles, based on pedal pads and the dash I'd bet 177. Paint flaking off the steering column?

Looking at the upper dash coverplate (above the speedo) there's a screw missing, and looks like some are wood screws, and there's a piece of thin trim missing at the forward edge. My 68's dash, which I've been into a few times, looks much better than this one, and I'm at 193k.

this strikes me as a car that will carry a few surprises under the skin. And notice it does not have power steering.
