I was able to pick up a 70 GT for @Trailer Park yesterday a FK3 FK3 with Champaign top bench seat car. Looks to be numbers matching will check soon. Has a great amount of part's in the trunk to do a 6bbl clone previous owners plans. She's parked next to her little sister a F8 S23. Thanks to @71Polara383 for the help loading her up yesterday.

I understand there is two 6bbl intakes , aluminum and cast iron.
How does the 6 barrel set up fit under the hood in respect to clearance?

They look to have the same height clearance to me.

I'm certain they are the same height.

Here's why I ask, in 1987 I had a 440 built for my Polara, with 3-2s. I was unable to have the air cleaner assembly on the carbs because the hood wouldn't close.

Is there a 6 barrel air assembly that is specific to the Fury ?

No, nothing specific to the Fury. I wanted to be sure of myself before I posted so here's a screen shot.

As I understand it, the two different air cleaner bases (aside from the 'glass hood AAR and T/A) and the difference is the one intended for a car without a scoop had a shield to keep water from ruining the filter and the car with the scoop didn't have the shield. Nick's Garage - Air Cleaner Identification Again, double checked myself... LOL

Why yours didn't fit... I can't say.

Great to hear about PH23T0D1984xx -- can't wait to see more pics from @Trailer Park and to hear from him if he's trying to corner the SFGT market :)

The air cleaner assembly is not Fury specific on the 6BBL GT.

I bet it's as simple as the under hood bracing is different enough from fury to dodge to make it not fit.

Could the power bulge hood on a Fury make the difference for the hood to close?

They are on the sides , not the center. I'm not that familiar with a 70 Fury. My only fury was a 69.

That thing is beautiful!

I'm thoroughly impressed with how often yal find these.
I can't seem to find any. Must be looking wrong.
