Installing aftermarket flip up sunroofs and vinyl tops was a huge industry in the 70's.
Oh, and "gold" plating....

We used to get the mobile "Trim Enhancers" through the Dealership all the time turning Dodge Spirits into the ES Gold Edition without ordering it that way. Also put our share of pop-up sunroofs in Caravans. Never did any vinyl though...

I love that grill on the '73 Chryslers. It's a "one off" in the same vein as the '72 Gran Torino/Ranchero and the '73 Cutlass.

My parents test-drove a new '73 Newport but bought a Maverick instead. WTF????
