Air filter Part # needed

Just ordered a 68 spec dual snorkel air cleaner for my 68, 300 and I need to get a filter for it. Rock auto has a 3-1/2” and 2-3/4” tall filter which one would I need? Or if someone has a part number that would be even better.

Where did you get the air cleaner?

Dual snorkel tales the same element as the single snorkel. Fram CA-127 should do it for the filters where there is a separate base plate and a "top" which covers it all. Same filter as the '68 Road Runner 383 4bbl open element air cleaner.

When the filter cases changed to a separate top plate, the numbers changed to a shorter element.

Where did you get the air cleaner?

eBay. The one I ordered is kind of rough and needs restoration. There’s a few restored ones on there in the $700-$1200 range. Of course the 70s style ones are more common, and therefore cheaper.

I run the K& N filter. Readily available and the last filter you ever need to buy.
Washable and reusable.
Done.
