I have a remanufactured "squareback" 4091424 alternator, upgraded to 90Amp.
Have had it on the shelf for a decade now.
Do this have an internal regulator or does it require an external?
Lost the receipt, only a part found were it says: 90Amp fits 63-87 Mopar

That alternator is setup as a pre '70 single pass alternator and it needs a regulator. It came with the mechanical type, but there are aftermarket electronic ones that will work. The second field terminal that is turned around is set to ground for a mechanical regulator. You can take the screw loose and turn the terminal outward to make it a dual pass unit that can be used with the '70 and later electronic regulator.

I have install a two field alt on a 68 300. Which field go's to the pos side of the new regulator. Or it my not matter.

It does not matter, it will work either way. One terminal to + the other to ground. This assumes that you are going to keep the '68 regulator.

Using new electronic reg. I have two dark blue 12 volt ignition wires and one of the dark green field wires from the alt to the red wire on the electronic reg. And the other field wire going to the other black wire on the electronic reg. Is this correct. Two hot wires and a field to the red wirer on the reg?
