Before & after pics

That's excellent!

View attachment 108686 Let's start a thread of cars before the restoration started & after it was finished. Regardless of how nice it turned out. As long as it looked better when done

Awesome! I recall an old Burt Reynolds movie (W W and the Dixie Dance Kings) that starred a car quite similar to that.

1946 Gretsch Broadkaster Drum Kit. Bought with the snare, rack, bass and misc hardware. The Floor was built entirely by me save for the lugs, stand (which was a modified snare stand) and badge.

No Before shots but this is a 59 ShopSmith MK5 that was my grandfathers. Sat in a damp basement for nearly 50 years when I got it. Rustoleum had just discontinued their light green hammertone finish when I did this which was dead nuts the color that was on this thing originally. Took a few liberties (silver hammertone, dice adjustment screw on the bandsaw, red raised lettering on the bandsaw and a drive train upgrade to poly-V drive belt) but otherwise pretty straight rebuild.

I have done two restorations. First was my Barracuda, it was an ok driver with well worn paint and interior, not worthy of saving as a survivor.

Still a rattle box trainwreck, but it was my first Newp after 20 years.

And any convertible (even GM) is a magic car to me.

Hope the pics are enjoyed.
