I really like the 57 Plymouth hub caps. Always wanted a set, but never had 14" wheels on anything that I would buy hubcaps for.

I bet a set of the spun aluminum full moon covers would look great on your car Stan.

I do not like those even a little....:puke:

Stan...I can appreciate wanting to run out the current tires. Why waste money on new tires when you still have a lot of life left in the ones you got. But do you plan on goong to 15" steel rims and tires when the day does come to replace those tires? I just think the 15" combo looks so much better on the C-bodies. ;)

I see it this way Brian. I won't put a thousand miles a year on the car.
I'll have to replace them because of age , not from wear.
I'm not lookin at tires (nor wheels, therefore) for another five years.
Besides, 15" doesn't have that mystical allure to me on the car.

I know that well. The tires I have on teh wagon right now have a ton of tread on them, no cracking at all, but the compound is as hard as rock. I drove the wagon a bit last October to December and it was almost dangerous i the wet. The front tires had no traction, and would lock up and the car would slide.

Will probably be looking for new tires for it within the year.

If your happy with the 14's Stan...then run 'em. Just my personal taste says that 15" look better on the car's. ;)

My personal tastes runs to having a 5 digit balance in the checking account.
Neither is happening. LOL!

If you still have a balance, then you haven't spent enough yet.

I agree with keeping the 14" rims. For the period look your striving for the 14's are perfect. It was a period when there were little or no aftermarket wheels and the custom look was obtained with swapping wheel covers, center bullets held on by the lug nuts, trim rings and custom paint treatments.

The 14" rims served to make the car appear lower also, (which was the original intention of the maunfactures in the mid 60's). Most all full sized and intermediate cars of the era were equipped with 14" rims.

I Think Will has it correct,14" is the way they came.I was in the same delema with the Monaco,I aquired a set of nos spinner hub caps for the car,and then i was afraid to lose one or curb hug one,so I went my favorite period correct wheel ,SS 14" cragars deep dish.Stan with those stickers cragars would complete the Hot Rod Look...But thats just me.
