On my 69 Dodge stock car, they use 3 of these to hold the torsion bar anchor to the chassis.
I need to find 3 usable bolts. I think may be grade 8. Can't tell because the
head of the one original I have is too rusted to tell.

What I need is: 1/2 - 13 x 3.75
Black oxide, originally, or phosphate coating.
Has a dog point tip. Need the nuts with built in washers also.

It was something used on either a C body, or truck, back in the 60's - early 70's.
Exact application, or part number, is not known to me.
Frame maybe? Engine mount?

PM please!

Not sure if you are wanting exact OEM, or nuts and bolts to fit. McMaster Carr will have what you need if you cannot source locally. The nut is a flange nut and McMaster Carr has many options. Hope this helps.

And the bolt is a shouldered bolt - looks like an engine mount bolt to me. There will be dash marks on the bolt head - likely visible after a good wire wheel cleanup even if rusted.

I'm looking for OEM original in decent condition.
I'm in the process of soaking the bolt and nut in Vapo-rust.

I am also leaning towards the source being an engine mount thru bolt.

I contacted them and they don't sell a dog point hex head.
That would have been Plan B if I can't find OEM.
Thanks for the tip, though!

"Dog point" can be made with a grinder wheel. It's there to help the bolt center in the nut threads, that's all.

There's usually a section in the older Chrysler parts books, termed "Standard Parts", where production-use nuts/bolts/washers and such are listed with Chrysler part numbers. Size and head style (flanged head and such) are listed. At this point in time, the numbers will be obsolete "NS1", but you might track the application.

Can you possibly check?? I need 1/2-13 x 3.75
I think they went smaller diameter in 70-71 timeframe...

THANKS!

These are engine mount bolts, too long, my transmission mount bolt is 1/2in longer too.

Thinking they are A & B body trans mount bolts, 66 to 68.
They do repop them. I'd like to find originals, nice used.
The search begins!

Yes, those are the repops I mentioned.
Plan "B".

I have contacted a buddy in Nevada to see if he has any nice original ones...

Thanks for checking. I appears to be a B body only application.

I've been waiting for years to see this car you are obsessed with.
Will I see it in my lifetime?
I'm getting up there.

Not sure why you want absolutely a NOS one. It's just a bolt.
I've been following this car since his first post searching for parts.
He is absolutely committed to originality to the car.
And I still don't know what the car is.
