You have got quite a bit of good information here, I doubt if you are going to beat that local quote once you add in the shipping, I don't see you beating a $450 per bumper quote from anyone else.

If the local company did good work for you in the past I personally would just budget the money for them,. I still haven't had my front bumper rechromed, my local company did my rear bumper 5 years ago for $600.

If you really want to get depressed about the cost of chrome work. Have a few piece of white metal quoted and you will think you are getting a good deal on a big heavy bumper.

Call Tri-City plating in Tn, they do very nice work and probably about the best price for the quality.

Chrome Pit is long gone in Winnipeg. Quietly, from what I can tell from asking around for a plater.
