I swapped the factory bump feed head for an aftermarket one . The one I used is made by a company called Oregon, and it uses pre-wrapped discs. The replacement head was about $20 and the discs come in a three pack for about $8. All of this is available at home depot.
I weed wack and edge my lawn every week and I use about two discs a season. Believe me you will be happy you did this, it works like a charm.

I'm with Commando on this one. Much easier writin' ah check once ah month, way quicker, and less exertion. 'Sidez, after rotator cuff surgery You don't have the strength to pull down your zipper let alone pull start anything. And visitors and the neighborz alwayz complement me on how nice the lawn lookz.
