Dennis. That's his name.

Okay....I've finally got the car cleaned up and my garage at a reasonable level of disaster.

Back to my bigger disaster....

I knew the headliner needed to come out, I've been fighting mold of some type on it since I bought the car in 2015....in the last 2 years move made their way in and well it stank.....I found a replacement for it...and I'm already this far into it.....

It was nasty....

Also decided maybe I should replace the exhaust too....I mean in for a penny, in for a dollar......or a few thousand of them...

The old system is an absolute mess, it's cobbled together and has to be without a doubt restrictive...what I've hacked off is relatively decent compared to what's still on the car...

Over the last few days things have been busy around here, which is nothing out of the norm. I've been trying to forage on regardless...

I cleaned out the interior, dragged everything out from under and around the car (and did a big clean up of my shop), finished removing the old exhaust and started to figure out my next steps. I set up my new-old welder and got it laying beads the way I want it to.

I dragged the front section I kept from the B5 69 ragtop into the garage tonight and began scraping the undercoating and assorted crap off it. I then spot blasted a few parts of it and hit it with some epoxy. Looks like the drivers pan will need to be replaced, so I'll have to crack out the bead roller tomorrow.

Slowly foraging forward....while I'm not painting the floor pans, I still want things as close to perfect as I can get because I'm still me and therefore kind of anal about the quality of things...

You have arranged liquids nicely on those shelves, so you can even find the one when it´s needed.

Progress has slowed with the holidays, and my daily driver needing some maintenance.

But I'm hoping to start doing some stuff again on the car. I would really like to have the car back together at some point...

I did make a few rollers for the stub so it's not as much of a pain to move around the shop...

Ok... that’s it Nick!

I now officially have welder and shop envy!

Really nice work sir.

I don’t know if you used to build model cars as a kid... but I did....and remember when I would open too many at a time on my birthday rather than take them one at a time......

Wondering a bit if you don’t have too many projects going. Just want to see how you end up managing it.

Javier.

I work on them one at a time, while the others are stored, I collect the parts they need.

Lately I've been trying to get this nightmare done....tonight was body mount night.

Starting with dissection, then test fitting.

Undid what I did in 2015....then redid it the right way....then ran out of gas of course...

Not perfect, but pretty good. I'm satisfied, when I'm done, I plan to de-scale the entire bottom of the car and then cost it with bedliner, top and bottom.

You seem to be at a point now with your skills and ability where there isn't a job you are not willing to tackle. Amazing work and thanks for the updates.

Slowly fixing nightmares as I go...the passenger front floor support was destroyed...luckily I had some donor metal from the green 70.

More tomorrow..
