Its summer and I'm tinkering with the Beast :)
Its exhaust this year; I got the exhaust manifolds fixed up and sealed up this spring, taking care of a leak that developed last summer just before she went into storage. Game plan was to do a dual exhaust this spring, but the manifold work held that up. But we're back in business and ready to rock on that front.
Local shop known for being able to do everything on site happens to NOT have the 1970 data cards, but will happily install a kit if I can get my hands on one. Digging around the net I see plenty of them, but I'd like to get some opinions too. She's a 1970 Newport, 2-door, 383 currently with a single exhaust. I'm looking either for some specific recommendations, if anyone knows a shop they'd recommend, but specifically too I'd be keen on specs; I've seen Aluminum and Stainless steels, "standard" mufflers, "turbo" mufflers, and "glasspacks". On such a critter, for nice rumble, that gets stored for the winter, what should I be looking for?
Some reminder/background; I do love my Newport, but I'm not much of a car person. A lot of it is greek to me, but I'm learning as I go.

DO they have 1972 Newport 440 dual exhaust cards? Same wheelbase and undercar dimensions. The stock muffler on the single exhaust system is larger-than-suspected pipe diameter and doubles as the lh muffler in those model years. You could do a lot worse than a Walker replacement muffler of the correct C-body dimensions!!! Seems like the OEM muffler is 2.5" inlet and 2.25" outlet? Which is plenty good for a hot 440, even a stock 383, too.

One main difference between model years is the exh manifold casting number. Which also relates to how the flanges are clocked. With the TTI system, you'll need to know the exh manifold casting numbers, relayed to them, for that reason.

I believe the TII kits are a bit pricey, but WORTH THE MONEY.

FWIW, I've had a TTI 2.5" exhaust, including their 4-into-1 headers, on my '67 with a 440, for a little over two years. I love it. Sounds great, looks great, and no issues with fitment, leaks, or anything else. Expensive, yes, but the quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.

Waldron. They make correct exhausts from original Mopar documents. If they don’t have the originals, then they don’t make it.

I have bought a dual from them for Regina, my L-code 1970 Polara ´vert, and another for Buttercup, my 1972 T-code NYB. Happy with both.

John: What mufflers do you use? I have a 2-1/2 inch TTI on my 69 T & C wagon, but the cabin noise level from the droning is a bit excessive. Not looking to have a limo or hearse quiet, but do you notice a drone using the TTI components?
Yes, I used the Turbo mufflers and the drone got worse after a few years. I found there was a '68 Cadillac muffler that fit and eliminated the drone. Walker #21856

Thank you. I enjoy driving the wagon, but on a longer trip after an hour it gets a bit old. Do you have the Caddy mufflers on your 300 currently?

Did 3 C's with the 2.5" TTi systems.
Zero fitment issues and used the Dynomax Turbo muffs included in the kit and turndown tips.

Exhaust cards? My exhaust man in Bakersfield built two systems for two of my cars with his hands. ???

Here's one:

Beautiful work! That kind of talent with pipe has become RARE! Count yourself blessed bro. I'd be tempted to search Bakersfield, but every time I drive there, I wind up with a Girl with Far Away Eyes instead of attending to business.

There is a guy in Chico who does that kind of work too. Just remembered him, Brian. he put a cat on my '96 Stratus, and fixed a bad repair done by another Chico company on my Newport.

the dynomax are kinda droney at low rpm and decell...going to the 3.23s seems to shift the rpm range up enough to really quiet them down at highway speeds
