Well the time zones messed me up but made to @detmatt 's shop 7:44 am!
Great to finally meet him in person after all these years.
His shop blew me away with the vast collection he has gathered over the years!
Git to play with the Director's passenger seat too!
His mug and cars..lol!

Before hitting the border I gassed up Frankie with cheaper American fuel.
Then I fueled up myself at family restaurant that @detmatt higly recommend.
Fast, cheap and most of all it was damn good!
Free wifi..lol

i know that eatery ... mmm' good! few blocks west, and in a couple months you'd be right at home in the Dream Cruise.

safe travels!

For some reason my GPS sent me to Port Huron instead of crossing over from Detroit to Windsor. I think because there was a lot of construction at the Windsor side.
Traffic was light so I took a break before I hit the swamp called Toronto.
I used the bathroom but no need to buy anything...so as one fella said to me I was camping..I said no different if I was at a car show..picnic! Lol.

Luckily the air was cool and Frankie did not overheat in the slow moving 401 Express.
Once further East out if "The Swamp" I made a stop at another member's house..
Specisl delivery for Nick from Manny! LOL!
Nick's new job kept him from coming with me this year.
He was on nightshifts so he was asleep by the time I delivered his parcel.

Yes I remember the wagon. I wanted it for a long time. Kept trying to locate owner, and wait for a sign. It was always parked off Broadview just south of Danforth.

YEP! From the day I bought it in the alley behind his house. If he is still alive,he will be 92.

OK...Back on topic..
I tallied up the cost of the trip and the mileage...PPHEW!!
Frankie and I travelled a total of 1,303 miles!! Or 2096 kilometers in 3 days!!

Frankie did very well despite having to be driven in some areas over 70 just to keep up with today's traffic.
Not an issue with 2.76 gears, but gas mileagee does get affected.
Total average 18.35 miles per gallon!
When honking on Frankie his worst was 16.9.
Stop and go traffic especially on the Canadian side, 17.43
When I converted the liters to gallons and US dollars to Canadian funds it cost me 820.53 CDN or $661.40 US in fuel.

I always filled up when the guage was at 1/4 tank. Not knowing if it is reading accurately, plus driving in uncharted waters,I do not take chances.
I was averaging a 12 or 13 gallon fillup so the guage is off a 1/4 tank--in a good way since the tank is 24 gallons.
I am vary happy that I did the trip---no matter what the cost was.
Frankie has proven to be reliable and comfortable.
There are always room for improvements like a front sway bar ,new shocks and new rear springs.
Frankie has a wallowy ride and lack of sway bar kept me busy correcting the steering on rough or uneven roads.

Carlisle is out for us this year based on this trip's cost if you add the 3 nights in a hotel, and food.
Hoping to see everybody again in the near future!!
