I have this mirror, was going to buy another to match it, so I had dual matching mirrors.

The forward end has a screw doohickey on it, never paid any attention to it.

All the stock twin post mirrors I am seeing do not have that screw.

Any ideas? Aftermarket maybe?

I can't help with the identify the mirror, but keep in mind this is for a balanced look. The mirror is totally worthless to use from the driver's seat.

I added one to my '66, thought people were referring to the size not being useful but I can't adjust it to any position which would be useful.

I have a pair of these ......

There's the screw in end again. What car are those on?

Do you think you got them in the OEM position? I will heed your advice and make sure to get a good line of sight before mounting the mirror.

The twin post forward look mirrors all had the screw. Your mirror looks like a 62/65 style. The early ones had that screw. Could be a right side mirror.....?

That style mirror crosses over the entire forward look era, all models. I have two for my 61 Fury.

These are on my 64 imperial parts car.

I placed them the same position as the driver's side. I would be curious if they actually mounted them in a different location from the factory. I believe if I would have moved the rear bolt hole more to the glass, it might be useful.

I would gain the help of another and see if you can find a sweet spot before anything is drilled and use a grease pencil to outline the base.
