Hey guys im new here so hopefully this is in the right location. I just recently got into MOPAR and bought a 1967 Chrysler Newport Sedan. Its an awesome car with the 383. Im looking to do something a little different and put a hood scoop on it and force some air into my breather. Any recommendations on what factory MOPAR scoops would fit or something aftermarket. Trying to make a semi hotrod with it.

Thanks Patrick

Welcome to FCBO, Patrick. There are many people here who will try and help you make the right decision concerning a hood scoop on your 67 Newport sedan with a 383......

I would hate to see you cut a hole in a perfectly good hood frankly. How bout a way that was reversable? Like this perhaps. It would work better than a hood scoop but not as well as a cowl induction.

Welcome Patrick.

We need more pics of your Newp in order to dissuade you from cutting up the hood.

IMHO, a scoop doesn't belong on a 4DSD.

But it's your car to do whatever you wish with.

Hope the input helps.

John

Hood scoops and C bodies don't mix, for the most part. I'd leave the hood alone.
