OK so if this is understood right, and looking at Sinbin's pic, 4 doors had the rear most bracket?

FWIW, both of my 4DSD's have one set of hooks in the same location as the pic I posted.

My 2DHT's and convertibles have two sets of hooks.

But they are in different locations dimensionally.

All cars are '67 Newports.

I just really studied the pic in the first post.... and it hit me. That's a 4 door seat bottom! The corners are rounded. A 2 door bottom is squarer.

I don't know why I didn't pick up on that.

FWIW on 2 sets of hooks -
I've had probably 15 C's over the years (all 2drs or verts), parted out probably 5-7 (some 4drs), and I don't recall any of them having more than 1 set of seat hooks. And I did in fact have the seats out of most of them at some point. I'm always realizing I don't know everything, but I think I would've noticed more than 1 set of hooks. ????

Just a follow up, it was really simple to weld a small loop on the existing factory seat frame. I extended it back a couple inches, which moved the seat bottom forward, problem solved!

So I think we can safely say, there were 2 seat bracket depths on both slabs and fuseys. I'm happy this thread turned into a contribution to the site. Thanks guys!

Not that every car had 2 sets of brackets, that there were 2 depths of bracket available. The rear seat fits nicely now.
