I'm pretty sure they all say DeSoto and Fargo on the tag...

I hope someone corrects me if I'm wrong, but I also think it has nothing to do with Turkey....

Nice! I'm assuming you bought that. You know I'm mainly a truck guy... better buy fast. My craigslist-fu is good.

And yes, all I've ever seen have desoto and fargo on the tags. Even in the vans. My 77 B300 does and so does my 79 Power Wagon. I'll have to look at my 85 Ramcharger. I don't think it does, but I could be mistaken. Pretty sure they went to the stickers by that point.

Got the truck home. I know it doesn't have the step side bed on it. The step side was disassembled and is in the bed of the truck. I have checked all the places for the vin # and they all match. It has the 100 mph speedo and tuff steering wheel. The small tag with the signal screw was to ensure the cab and bed matched during assembly, not a vin matching #, for assembly only. And no unwanted guests.

Got to go with a simple single stage enamel....last time I bought some, a couple quarts, plus all the reducers, hardeners etc was under $100. Had enough to paint a couple coats over half the vehicle.
