I swear i replaced the chain guess not this is 103000. I think i have too many cars if i dont remember which ones i worked on

Yeah - but you used a stock flat link chain. They will not last. Also that thing looks filthy. Whatever your oil change interval is I'd shorten it by 1/2, or run 15-40 Fleet (diesel) if you don't already.

In any case it is worn out now. Lots of sludge on it, but it appears to be the factory plastic gear that is cracked at several places around the circumference.

Rotella 10w30 every 2500 the car had 80000 when i bought it now has 104031

A stock replacement chain and gear set will be fine, they are steel though. I guess your right about not remembering which car got new chain and gears, because it wasn't this one.
