I am sure this was asked a few years ago but I'm tossing it out again. The Blue Whale quit on me today. Lost power to anything going through the ignition switch. To make a long story short power is not getting through the plug into the ignition switch. Does anyone have a plug and enough attached wire to splice to hanging around in a parts car they would care to sell? I could pig-tail to the switch but I'd rather not. Ours is a 1965 Newport wagon. Thanks all. Happy motoring.

Do this first.. 15 minutes and you ae back on the road.
Underhood Ammeter Bypass
let me know if she fires right up without hacking your ignition switch wires.
Thanks Charge. The actual problem was right at the switch plug. Power going in but not consistent coming out to the switch. I got that wire freed, cleaned it up, put it back on and she fired right up. However (always right?) the switch felt like it was "warming" a bit in my hand as she sat idling. The switch may be the actual culprit. I've ordered a new one. We'll see. Can't hurt in any event. Thanks again.
