Looks very nice indeed!. So tell us more..................................

SMS Door Panels (?) - if so, how long was the wait and did they renew the front door panel emblems?

Legendary Auto Interiors for the seat covers?

Carpet Source (even though they are all probably made by the same vendor?

C Pillar moldings and maybe armrests - Bob Baker @ABC Moparts?

Thin trim piece at front edge of rear door panels or did you just have a nice one?

Headliner?

Is the dashpad original or was it redone by Just Dashes?

Thanks for keeping us posted on your progress.

Ok, here goes

Door panels original, they are in very nice shape luckily, re painted with Herbs paint

Legendary seat covers

Carpet..Rock auto, great price, but it is ACC carpet

C pillars are original, repainted with Herbs

Armrests, front are new fron ABC, rear, original, repainted. I wanted to keep the ash tray style

Trim at front of rear panel, original, repainted.

Headliner I think was from Josh's, can't recall, I'd have to dig out my records

Dash is original, repainted.
I did use paint sticks to redo the lettering, tedious, but cheap ..lol

Overall, much of my interior pcs we're in very good shape, so I just repainted most.

Dash pics added

I also have bucket seat backs, from ABC.
Hoping to get front seats, console, and steering wheel in this week.
Then on to the front end. Rad support, fenders, etc. Engine has been rebuilt to stk, and broken in, so I can just plug and play I hope. So far all electrical has proven functioning.....

Also seatbelts, I bought material in line, $50 odd dollars, then took it to a local upholstery shop. They took original buckles and sewed them in to new, about $60...so that is definitely the way to go. Also got the new stretchy mat' l for the shoulder belts sewed on too

Thanks for your replies. Now I have a couple more questions..............................................

What is a paint stick - I am not aware of that term although I have used paint markers from hobby shops that seem to work pretty well unless the raised letters/numbers are for some reason worn away some or were never that good from the factory molds?

Are you pretty satisfied with the sound deadener in terms of application ease and cost?

Thanks for the additional comments.

I recall talking with you on the phone probably at least several years ago about doing this project so it is really nice to see you getting it done so nicely.

Best wishes.

Paint stick/marker..I got them from hobby lobby. White and a chrome. You can get them with different tips, fine to wide, just like a marker, but paint filled.

The sound deadener was easy to install, and according to some research, best $ value. I'll know more once I drive it.
Original roof only insulation is about $135....I did the whole car, roof, doors, floor, and I did on the inside of the trunk divider also, for about the same price. 2 boxes of 36 SQ ft if I remember correctly.

OK then, I also have the ink pens in both white and chrome from Hobby Lobby as well, so we are on the same page then on that. Which tip did you find worked the best on lettering for you?

Thanks for the information on the sound deadener.

I would indeed like to hear how well it suppressed noise when you finally drive the restored 300.

Looking great. Looks like you are not to far of from getting it back on the road.

Front seats and console.
Shout out to detmatt, for the console. Repainted and looking.
good!

Wow! Awesome work so far! I read through this whole thread and am glad that you are building what you really want. I waited for years hoping to find the perfect car for me and decided I'd better buy something or I might not get a chance. Easy for young guys in good health to say "build it stock, then sell it when you find what you really want"! We never know what the future might look like. Hats off to you! You'll feel great driving exactly the car you would have ordered in 1969 had you been old enough. Red and white is a great combo. I'll be headed to hobby lobby for the chrome paint stick!

Doing a great job! Absolutely love the color combo you've chosen, can't wait to see it complete.

Update!.
Left front fender, inner fender, rad support in and dressed out. Engine fired up, running a cool 190. I'll get it turned around now that it's under its own power and get passenger side caught up.
