Lets Play A Game: Last Of The Convertibles

But he said it's now red. ???
Lotsa shades of red
@Snotty -- R stands for "Red", the number thereafter stands for how dark the shade is from 1 to 9.

ER6 is the color in my avatar (aka "Scorch Red" in Chrysler/Plymouth literature). The "E" in "ER6" stands for the first year when the color was introduced, 1969 in my case.

To confuse things, the first letter does not start showing up till 1970. So @Don Stolfi 's 1969 R6 Polara 'vert is painted the exact same shade as my ER6 1970 ER6 Polara 'vert.

To confuse things further, E also stands for Red -- with FE5 very, very close to my eyes (hard to tell in photos) to ER6. In the same vein, GE7 (a color introduced in 1971, as per the "G" in the code) looks quite close to DR8 (a 1968 color).

Dark Red Poly. Aka burgundy metallic. I have answered similar questions from you in the past :poke::p
Yes you have, but the reality still exists: I don't know what those codes are. I would believe I am not alone.

Thanks for filling in the blank.

But, what about my original color, EA4? Platinum Metallic/Silver. Those letters are not going to lead to those colors at all.

(And for those who might be thinking, "Thought he said he doesn't read code?," I don't, but I do have a picture of the fender tag.)

E = 1969 first year when the color was made
A = silver color group
4 = lighter color (scale of 1 to 9)

Bought the car in 2015 and sold it in 2019 to a guy here in the Netherlands.
After i bought it I rebuild the front end and new shocks all around. New legendary front seat upholstery and top boot cover and new carpet.
Car ran very well and even took it to spain and back from here (the Netherlands).

Thanks not @Samplingman and @70 Sport Suburban , we have the fender tags of two rare 1970 Polara 'verts that @1969vert500 recently put up for sale:

DL27T0D203980 is an EV2 orange T-code, with Q VON and super-loaded (2 tags). DL27T0D203980 's SBD was Feb. 17, 1970:

The other is an EW1 white T-code, a Rose Bowl car previously owned by @polara71 -- DL27T0D137743 is in pieces, but is all there:

PM27G0D218323 is currently for sale on eBay. The fender tag can be seen in one of the high-res photos. Unfortunately, the part with the SBD is hidden. From the records that we have gathered in this thread, the SBD should be in the first half of March.

The car has been re-painted in the original ER6 Scorch Red. The interior is the M4XA Charcoal-and-Black split bench-back interior (the ad says it is black, but it is clear from the photos in the ad that the interior was partly grey -- even if the front bench has been refinished in a shiny black).

I see V3X black vinyl top, H51 manual A/C, G11 all-windows tinted glass, L31 fender repeaters, R11 radio, and V5X side molding inserts. Do I also see Y39? @69CoronetRT

Thank you for posting! Beautiful — can you tell us more about PM27L0D248610 ?

Thanks to @antonellomopar we have the tag of another TNT 300 ‘vert. CM27U0C102170 is an early-built 1970, with an SBD of August 1, 1970!

Antonello acquired the car 6 years ago and posted about it here.

I guess Antonello finally decided to let this one go. CM27U0C102170 is for sale again on eBay, located in Oak View, California:

"You are bidding on an original condition 1970 Chrysler 300 convertible. This beautiful parade car will start every time and take you across country in style and comfort. The original 440 engine is rated at 360 HP and is mated to an original 3 speed 727 torque flite transmission. The trans operates perfectly and has been serviced recently to correct a leak near the shift linkage. The engine runs strong without hesitation and without any issues. I do not know the rear gear ratio, but it is geared for highway travel will easily cruise at 80 mph. The original interior has been well-cared for and there are minor signs of wear. The leak-free, white convertible top does not look to be original as it is very pliable, and the rear window is still clear (not yellow). The power top raises and lowers as it should. The dash controls work except for the radio and clock and the power seats work fine. I have had a premium Kenwood radio installed under the dash which connects wirelessly to your smart phone and the speakers have been upgraded in their stock location. All the power windows raise and lower correctly. The brakes have been serviced recently and work perfectly.

I wish this beautiful Chrysler 300 was built with factory air conditioning, but it wasn't. Also, it is obvious that the car has had a repaint, as there are a few signs of overspray. The rear chrome bumper has a minor dent in it down low, to the right of the license plate. I installed adjustable rear air shocks because the rear seemed too low when I first bought the Chrysler.

This Chrysler 300 is for sale locally and can be seen at the Chrysler Plymouth Dodge Fall Fling car show in Van Nuys at Woodley Park on October 21st if it has not been sold by then. Come test drive it and then drive it home! Bid with confidence, these well-cared for classics do not come along often!"
