I'd be surprised if a Performer RPM wouldn't fit under a stock hood. The M1 single plane on my 493 fits under the hood of my 66 and it's hardly a short intake.

Worst case scenario should be a drop base aircleaner. No need for the Sawzall.

Just found this great thread and am working my way through. I just picked up my 66 Monaco wagon last month, mostly original and a great driver. Biggest project is to get the A/C working, Texas summer is here now!

Plans are to eventually start a thread on this, but in the meantime here's a couple pictures of a 72 Monaco that I originally intended to use for parts. Upon closer inspection, it will be put back on the road.
