It’s been 6 weeks since we moved into our new digs and it’s been a busy time getting our house in order. From painting to cleaning the property up and finally getting to the garage.
We managed to find a reasonable priced contractor but delays in just about every aspect of the projects
Things move slower here but we have the time
We have had to contract just about everything out with way more $$ flying out of the door not spent on the Polara!!!LOL!
It is what it is I guess

Here’s a few pics of the new place and garage
It goes from messy to clean and back to messy within minutes sometimes :p
The first photo was a welcome to your new home plumbing surprise when the kitchen sink backed up into the jacuzzi tub...

It’s in a messy state again until the crew returns
The new expansion is completed other than some drywall mudding and paint

the Vic's auto Service is a tribute sign to my grandfather's business back in the early 1930's that my brother painted back in the mid 1980's
The actual sign is from 6-72 out of VA promotional company for Pennzoil promotional signs.
The white panel section is where the local owner would add their signage.

Mutsubushy wall mount A/C, in the garage, lucky! Yesterday I was talking to my sister who has been in Dartmouth for a month now, 100% humidity! It's gonna take her a bit of getting used to, coming from Alberta. Your place looks great!

Yes you noticed this,:D that was the first addition to the garage. A/C in the summer & Heat in the winter.
The humidity is something else here. Similar to Niagara but starts earlier and apparently stays late in the season.

That's my perfect garage size

I had a 29x29' last house and it was just about right.
This one is longer but narrower hence the brain wave to knock into the adjoining wall in a storage room to give us more elbow room.
Doing this added another 210+ sq ft.
Everyone that sees it in person agrees that this was a great idea that I managed to literally dream up right after we sealed the deal.

the idea is to add a 4' wide access deck to the backyard from the front as seen here to replace the narrow pathway currently we have to traverse.

Nice, the raised bed planters are a back saver... I'd recommend putting some vinyl deck board around the top to have something to sit on when planting, picking etc. I over engineered mine, they're 24" high but my wife loves them. I also worked for a company that manufactured vinyl decking and could get seconds cheap so that helped a lot.
