Meet Maggie May!

So out of desperation and wanting to finish the interior what were we to do??
Luckily we have all the pieces .
Yeah from the factory the insulation foam was NOT cut out for the rear defog and speaker (WTF) so in a way that saved our arse

I started putting the pieces together at the table.
Using a hot glue gun and toothpicks for splints I made one large piece..

With the grille back as one piece,I put is back into the tray.
Again using the toothpicks to bridge it to the main tray.

Tomorrow,a freah coat of flat black spray bomb will cover any cracks i could not cover with a Sharppie..
Not perfect but better than before...

I know what should have been chrome is now black. But it works with the interior colors. I did not have enough Metal Foil to redo the chrome. My hobby shop is closed due to the pandemic.

Brilliant, now get ye to ye olde gas station for some go juice and drive her.
With the inside taken care of, the engine is next.
Even though we drove the car last fall, I will be doing some maintenance under the hood before she pounds the pavement. The car has been dormant for years and making sure it is reliable is key to avoiding the dog house with Maggie!! Lol!
Details will be updated.
