My new ‘64 Imperial convertible

Good to have in case you ever need them. I wonder why the po would take the seats to an upholstery shop without these hides? You would think he'd want them to use them as a pattern.

I was thinking the same thing, does Legendary have the seat covers?

I have no idea... but when I took my '67 Imperial front seats to my guy in Williamsport, I took both seats intact and said fix them.
He called me with a price for either leather or vinyl. Same with the job he did for my '77 Elite.
The way I see it. If you take your own material to a guy and there's not enough, or it doesn't stretch in the right direction, your screwed. These guys have tons of material in house. They're pro's, that's what you're paying them for. They know these materials. Or at least they should. Now if they tell you to go and find the stuff, well that's a different story.
I think you take them there and discuss it before jumping the gun and run out and get the wrong stuff.

Kinda like when I started turning wrenches. I worked for an old timer that would get pissed at people that wanted to bring in their own parts. He'd say "do you take your own eggs to a restaurant and tell the cook to scramble them?" LOL

When I had Goldie interior done, I went to the upholstery shop, he said this is what I use, I'll let you pick the style and color, that was my input besides telling him to mimic all the original stitching.

I was fine with that, because he had a good reputation and used quality materials.

I couldn’t help myself, I had to put a battery in it to see if anything would respond and it did! The lights come on, the top goes up-and-down and the engine rolls over with the key. The back window did disintegrate in the process though...
Not a word about the windows Dave, they’re not hooked up.

It has begun! Just finished up another project on the other convertible before sticking it in the corner for the winter.
First things first, Will it run? I’m almost sure it will but I’m not rushing anything.

It had no fuel pump on it and the gas tank as mentioned earlier had been out and put back in but just finger tight.

Great color combo.
Here are a few gaps I can fill in.
F7 - (357) Power Door Locks
G9 - (359) Automatic Beam Changer (though it doesn't appear to be there in the picture)
H5 - (365) AM/FM Radio includes rear speaker and power antenna
K5 - (385) Heater w/defrosters
L6 - (396) Black Convertible Top
M7 - (407) Deck Lid Lock Remote Control
W6 - (416) Reverb unit for Radio
From the picture you also have (491) Manual outside right hand mirror. You may also have (350) Auto Pilot and/or (410) Adjustable Steering Wheel. These do not show up on the fender tag.
The auto headlight dimmer is there just under a spare dashpad.

1st step .. On the trip to Mancini, Replace Fuel pump and Push Rod, lol
You know I’m going to check my rod length for sure buddy but I have several good used fuel pumps in stock here.:)

I completely missed this acquisition. Still not satisfied with your rod length, eh ? :D

Rod is the right length and 8 plugs all look consistent so I’ll probanly just clean those up and reuse them at least for now. The bundle of insulation is still under the intake but curiously the thermostat is absent....

@71Polara383 I’m happy to see that the trans fluid looks normal after sitting for at least the last 12 years that we know of.

The heater core is still full of healthy looking coolant although there’s no sign of it in the upper reaches of the engine or the radiator. I’m just going to pull the radiator and take it in to be cleaned and tested and replace all the hoses under the hood and under the car front to back.
No surprises under the valve covers although the right side had no gasket, just black rtv glueing it down.
