Well, I picked up a new to me stable mate. It will be kept in the shed that the kids helped build last summer. I've got some projects to do this summer that this will come in very handy. 20190415_205453.jpg

Congrats John! Looks like an older Kubota?

They were pretty tough machines, have fun!

    NICE.

I found a couple old Kubotas last year that I was itching to get into. Unfortunately they were lacking in the implement dept.

I have a zero turn for the lawn but my main haul it / push it / pull it machine is a 56 Economy Country Squire that was my grandfather's. I restored it but, again, some a**wipe stole the hydraulic pump, the single bottom plow and the disk harrow.

    Weird.... Very weird.
Monday morning I was pricing (for laffs) Kubota sub-compacts tractors with bucket and hoe. $16,000.00.

It is a 1980 according to some information I found based on the serial number.

It does have a lot of attachements; bucket, hoe, 3 point hitch, and the back blade. The only thing I want to get or make is a drag bar for pulling my trailer around.

Why, yes it is. I'm told the older ones are even better than the new ones. I has just under 2000 hours on it. Not made for 39 years old.

    Dirty rotten scoundrels.

It's always fun to window shop. Oh, wait you have the back forty to tend to. I agree that $16k is the going price for these little buggers when they are a bit newer, this one was less than 1/2 that. I saw this one about 15 hours after it was listed and immediately reached out to the seller, even before consulting the "boss". I felt like if I wanted even a chance to look at it I better move quickly. Talked to him Thursday, looked at it Friday, told him I wanted it Saturday morning, paid for it and picked it up last night with the help of a friend.

After the summers projects it will primarily be used for bringing in firewood.

I'll get some better pictures in the days to come. It was after dark when we got to the house last night.

That's what I've heard too. Nice score John! Little clean, up some fresh paint and putterin' and she'll be good as new!

That will make those projects a lot more fun, anytime I can play with that kind of equipment I have fun. I have a friend that has a Case 580K backhoe and a JD compact with a loader. Even if he has me helping do some work, if I get to play with the toys it's always a good day.

Thanks, I had some joy getting it in the shed last night. The shed wasn't intended for a tractor, though built large enough and strong enough. The ramp in is too steep so I had to get creative and lay some 2x8's on it to get the hoe mount to clear.
