Haven't posted much lately, life continues to kick my *** so I decided I had to get serious about working smarter rather then harder...before it kills me.....literally. First is my new "tool" that I picked up last night ,not perfect but everything but the lights work, 1972 JD 1020 with JD loader and newer Mahindra SD 6' brush hog. Second are a few pics of my wife's Scat Pack. I hadn't posted any pics from when we brought it home. My high score is 117 mph, quite capable of doing better but I haven't gotten serious with it....yet....

117 mph might just do it :steering:

True but I never play except on open divided highways or interstates. Bigger risk to get a ticket...loose my license but much lower risk of killing someone because of driving like an idiot.

TBH, 117 in that car is like 80 or 85 in any other. The suspension, steering and tires work well together as a performance package. The 117 was within about 3/8ths of a mile, a Mustang pulled up behind me...I took off and he kept with me for almost a quarter mile, then I started walking away from him before I had to slow down for traffic and turned off the highway.

Don't know how much speeding fines are over there, but here it costs a fair penny if you get pinned for driving just 10 kph (6mph) over the limit. Road laws are very strict and cops aren't the nicest of people to deal with.

Laws are mostly state to state here. In Pennsylvania, you're pretty safe up to 5 mph over if it's at least 45 mph speed limit, on an interstate, most LEO's want pull you over up to 10 mph over. 30 mph over and it's 6 points on your license. Over 5 points and it's a 30 day suspension. They take one point off per year, so it's a hefty fine, well over $200 I think, loose your license for 30 days and you won't get rid off all the points for 6 years.

Last time I had a close encounter (Trooper coming out of the median bushes with dirt flying from both rear tires!) was during the 55mph days. Base fine up to 65mph then $10 per mph above 65. Street/Highway smarts kept me from a close to $1,000 fine over three decades ago. Practically every state has a driving to endanger law which is a arrestable offence for any speed over 80mph (very old laws) believe me I've got quite a few 79mph tickets and the Judge ain't too happy when you take a ticket like that to court. Then there is street racing, exhibition of speed (burnouts) motor vehicle laws etc. Meet the wrong cop and your phucked.
