So. . . What did you do about the lifters ? Looks like you already installed them. Old ones or new ones ?

Oh. . . And I notice your dip stick on yer 409 is on the left. . .

My previous lament over my lifters was premature. I was confused at the time. All is fine with the existing lifters.

I wasn't thinking with my dipstick.

I never really looked at the faces but you are right ... however there's six nipples. Sorry my mind works that way sometimes
 
They do look angry!
Two nipples are just fine for me, why complicate things and you know when you start adding nipples things do get complicated.

Spent half an hour trying to figure out why it wouldn't start. Helps when you attach the fuel line....
Could only run it for a few minutes. Pouring outside and filling the garage with fumes.
QUIET and smooth as silk but BLACK dirty exhaust.Ugh. Hoping it's just burn off.
Will know when I can take it for a long drive.
