My DD is a 2006 Corolla. It needs front wheel bearings. My question is as I look at the suppliers the only name I recognize is MOOG. What is the quality factor on these other suppliers?

I've never heard of any of them! That must be a reason for being "economy"? Stick with a brand you know like Timken and others. Personally? I'd shitcan the Toy and buy a better car! JMHO

I looked at SKP, WJB and Ultra Power.

It looks to me like they aren't manufacturers, rather they are resellers of off shore parts. The one that raises my eyebrows the most is Ultra Power. Their parent company seems to be a surplus/closeout reseller, so the parts could come from anywhere.

I would stick to Moog.

Quite frankly, all the parts listed from the different vendors, including Moog, may come from the same factory in China, so it might not make a difference, but at least you have a better chance that the Moog part is spec'd to some standards.

Thanks guys.

@Big_John Probably a lot of truth in that they all come from the same factory.
Really, that's nothing new.

For example, I've held NOS, NORS and even take off brake cylinders in my hands. All the new came from different boxes... All had the same casting number and all were identical in every way. The NORS from deferent manufacturers even had the same number maybe with a prefix, but obviously the same. Not talking offshore parts either. Good old 'Merican parts from the previous century.

I'd still buy the Moog parts though.... LOL.

Just rebuilt the suspension on my ‘08 RAV4 last year and used KYB and Moog parts with great success. I’ve also used Mevotech in both the T Bird and the RAV4, and was also happy with them, although I don’t see that brand on your list.

I did the water pump in the RAV4 a few years ago. I looked at OE Toyota and they wanted $350 for the pump. I went checking online and RA had it for under $100. Not wanting some Chineses knock off, I did some more research and found that one of the suppliers was a reseller of genuine Toyota parts. Lo and behold, when I received the pump, you could clearly see the Toyota name and symbol roughly ground off of the housing. The same part made in Japan, less than a third of the price, go figure.

I had a similar thing happen fixing my daughter's 2000 Ford Focus ZX3. Needed a window regulator, so I went to O'Reilly's, got the "house" brand, took it out of the box and FoMoCo was clearly visible on the case, although it was half-heartedly ground off just enough to make it no longer "OEM." Works just fine and it was $90 instead of several hundred for the OEM (same) unit.
