I need a Mopar OEM radio suppressor part number 2884869. It mounts on the coil bracket. used on 67 into the 70's. The part number is stamped on the end of the can. A clean used one is fine.

Rockauto sells inexpensive generic units if you're not interested in originality. My original AM radio works great but buzzes loud static when I'm near power lines. Has anyone found a fix for this?

I've seen them in the $25. to 40.00 range and thought that was high. I'm not sure why they want so much unless some fools are paying that for them.
A nice used one is fine for my purpose, I don't care if it even works.
A good salvage yard is probably full of them.

I took a look at mine from the '69 motor. It looks the same but with a different part number, 2197082. Also checked ebay for "ignition coil - used" and low and behold there was one with the suppressor still attached, but not mentioned in the listing. They still wanted $39 for the used and very crusty coil, but I'm sure a $10 unit will pop up. Maybe you can ask the seller if he'll send you the little "drum dohicky thing" for $5 bucks. He might do it.

Bill Rolik's stuff is always really nice, but I'll never say it's the cheapest.

Since that is a repop aimed at the Hemi and muscle car market with guys that look at date codes and part numbers, it's not going to be cheap no matter what, and I'll bet it wasn't cheap to tool up for that reproduction either.

But, yeah, since every car got one, there should be plenty of used out there. Like everything else, when you want a specific part number, sometimes the price is going to go up. Even in today's prices, I would expect it to be under $15 "over the counter" for a new one.

Just looked, wasn't sure I paid that but it looks like I did. as a wise man once said, "if it is the only one it is the cheapest one"
Sometimes when you want it to look right you just do it.

I HAVE BEEN USING HIM MORE AND MORE. hE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT repops a late 69 hemi vac advance but unfortunately some repops have no part numbers stamped on them so If you need the # on it ask first. Just FYI. I really like his products.

I like Bill. He's been around and offering nice quality NOS and reproduction stuff for as long as I can remember.
