Receiving Imperial Parts is a Blast

That's a good idea...I am messing with the idea of mounting on the wall in unfinished basement for the long winter...not sure if I will follow through with the idea of running power to see if lights in dash work...kinda cool if they did.

Here's what I'm trying to emulate for wall art.

* However, no destruction or irreversible mods of parts so they can be used by someone down the road.

Do you know a store Where I could find a master control panel for Impster? It has the optional power vents, but incorrect panel on the driver`s door. And once again, I need it later this year, so it is not a ``quick to be found``.

I've seen them pop up from time to time on Ebay, FB and Murray has them I believe. I have been lucky not to need one yet.

Might have to use Randy's fine crate craftsmanship as a display table...that is mount the dash...put wheels underneath so I can spin crate and expose the rear dash guts for educational purposes like a cadaver laboratory. :lol:I have an imp steering wheel and assembly to mount as well. Maybe paint the crate a rainbow of Imperial stock colors. No one probably has an Imperial rotating dash coffee table.

No, and there's probably a good reason for that.

Lol Don't let it stop you.

They say the best way to hide something is to hide it in plain sight. But I don't know, after seeing your effort at that I'm beginning to wonder. :-D

I just found ``devininsm`` who sells repaired power switches on eBay.

Have to send it out to California before I receive it back for the parts gratification...But, I'm gonna use Rare Parts again to rebuild an Idler arm. Using the core from Big Red to get rebuilt and will be swapped in McGoldy at the shop soon. Big Red came off the trailer with no brakes and a sloppy idler arm. Thankfully, Murray had a core and the transplant started then and continues on.

Have you checked Kanter Auto Parts already? They ask 67USD for an idler arm of 66-73 Chryslers and for Imperials from the same years they offer only an idler arm bushing for 57USD...

What mufflers does Big Red have on her dual exhaust system?

Next to driving them...the parts hunt and/or rebuild part steps involving sending or receiving packages is very gratifying. Idler arm going out today.
