I'm having the shop add hardened seats. I like to drive my car so it makes sense.
well the reasons are detailed some of which I've already mentioned so I won't beat a dead horse. Resf assured I'm happy now. I'll update as I go.along.I really can't imagine why you wouldn't do this. The added cost of hardened seats can't be much compared to the rest of the work you're doing. So not doing it when you have everything apart really wouldn't make sense.
I'm looking forward to more updates as they come. My engine has purred along better than I thought when I bought the car, but it's never far from my mind that it is nearly 50 years old, with 160,000 miles on it. Seeing someone else go through this is very helpful!
