Sunvisor stud rubber ends

The little stud coming off the sunvisor that hooks into the rear view mirror slot....has anyone found a place to buy these? 71 Yorker. And how the hell do they come off?
Mine have deteriorated due to the baking sun.

Almost 6 bucks shipped for a pair.
The importer probably paid 6 bucks for a case of a 1,000.

They are available through Layson's and other places. However, I think the ones sold are more for B bodies, as the ones I have have NEVER WORKED! They're too small for my Newport and I think they would be on your New Yorker too. The just do not hold. They pop off at the slightest bump. When i drive my car I have to reattach them about every 15 minutes.

I like Stanley's idea and might just ahve to try it.

I bought some from vansauto through eBay. They work well on all the Newps.
