Sorry, I was at work....

Matt and I were communicating offline.

For you guys that have never met Matt and his new wife, they are both wonderful people and you can tell that they fit together well.

Matt, I wish you and your wife all the happiness in your life together.

Wow! It's truly an honor to be part of this group we have on FCBO and if it's not already obvious just by the fact that I wanted to share this occasion with you all, a great number of you hold a special place in my heart. Could you imagine if we all lived in the same city? Talk about a love fest! (DT)

We could have a mini-Carlisle!

Well Matt, have you decided which route you'll be taking home tomorrow? Let me know if you want to meet up! Pm me!

These were taken at my buddy Paul's place in Milan. He is an incredibly talented metalsmith that I got to know while working on the house. He and his lady are in the process of moving to Cape Cod where he can more easily concentrate on his art. That's good news for us because we've not been to the Cape so that sounds like another road trip.:D

An example of his work. This piece is all metal and the flower is too!

Looking at the amount of construction on the southerly route and the 100 mile difference between the 2, I think we're going to head back the way we came. Leaving this place this time is especially hard as well so we are really wanting to soak up as much of it as we can. We are leaving ourselves enough time to make it home by 11pm with only stops for gas and leg stretches.
I wish there was time to meet up with all of you so why don't you all come to the museum show on the 11th and the Nats..:poke:

Got back home at 2:30 am today and the ride was smooth and uneventful. Total miles for the trip was 2,087, it averaged around 12 or 13 mpg, used about 3/4 quart of oil and had one minor radiator leak. I couldn't be happier about how the Imp performed!

Here are a few more pics. I'll post more as I get caught up with being home.

First is at the Vanderbilt Estate on the Hudson. Beautiful Place!

This one is on the grounds of FDR's place in Hyde Park.
