Wow! Just Wow !! This one car has to be right next to the pinnacle of mopar C's. Only a V code GT compares to this amazing piece of artistry!

I have wanted one of these for years. Seeing this one makes me want one even more. Thanks !!

Curiosity question here, What is the most different option to be installed and on a trim tag for the Hurst.
They all are so similar, I'm wondering what the most unique Hurst is (known).
The most unique Hursts are the ones without options typically.

If I ever find the NON A/C car WITH a console thats the one Im buying lol.

Given that Jefferson only coded a select number of items and a format that only allowed certain codes in certain places on the tag and the Hursts followed this same protocol, I don’t think you will find a lot of the “rare” options coded on a 70 Jefferson plant tag regardless of if the tag was from a Newport, New Yorker or Hurst.

Jefferson plant tags do not follow a coding protocol that allows for unlimited expansion of codes like Belvidere, Newark or Windsor. There’s no possibility of a second tag at Jefferson to overflow codes.

Yes, and all those codes I listed for 222871 came off of the window sticker. No pic of Fender Tag or BS was on this Facebook sale:

Is this one known?
Winner, winner! That is, if everyone agrees that this is 196870 and that's not a 3. Gotta love how the VON slots right in. Now.....any guess on the Door Date, anyone?

Incidentally, the next version of the Registry (soon) will contain eight new finds including Manny's, most of which have been mentioned in this thread and CBod over the past three months. An unknown Hurst I found through a friend in the Tappahannock VA area is in incredible condition (let's just call it mint), and I'm only waiting for the non-cellphone owner (talked to him a few weeks ago) to provide me the promised Door Date and VON, and it is VIN 1999992.

Interesting that he claims that there are 47 C16 console cars. Can anyone here confirm or know about that number? What is REALLY interesting to me is that I recently estimated--from the info I have in the Registry--that it appears that "about 10%" of the Hursts were console, and the trend is that the earlier cars were more frequently ordered (or simply built) that way. Of course, our Registry only has 85 cars so far, so any sort of estimate is just that.....guesstimates.

Also, this car shows AM/FM/8, Cornering, Tilt-Tele, and AirTemp.

Here is the link to the FB ad. I am having a hard time differencing between CM23U0C196375 (what I read initially), CM23U0C196370 , CM23U0C196875 and CM23U0C196870 -- perhaps someone with access to FB can ask for a better photo of the tag and build sheet?

I think you mean 19xxxx, not 18. There are no 18s.

I initially wondered the same thing, particularly the "370" version, but the Chrysler 300 Club database shows no "1963xx" cars so I think we can eliminate that possibility.

The VON for this FB car is J99513 which perfectly aligns with that of 196872/J99515. And we have 196875 in the Registry, with VON J99518 (formerly with Xavi3r in France) and that also shows perfect sequential VON alignment.

So I'm going with 196870.

The only way to know that is to have all of the build records from all of the cars.

IF that treasure trove exists, it would be a massive find.

Otherwise, it's simply more guessing and puffery or voodo math.

Fat finger mistake on 186 vs 196 -- thank you for catching it. I'll go with CM23U0C196870 then, but a FB text to the seller would remove all doubts and be worth it.

Edit: I found the CL ad for the car, and the resolution of the photos is much better. CM23U0C196870 it is. Here are three pics missing from the FB ad.

I spoke with the seller of 196870 today (a pleasant, helpful fellow) and he quickly sent me a pic of the Door Sticker. Unfortunately, the VIN was CM23T0C144914, with a date of 10-69. Somewhere in this car's life the driver's door was replaced with a boneyard item. So....that hoped-for bit of data is gone and that's a shame because this could be a March or an April car as it's position in the Registry. Oh well....lots of things happen in 55 years of a car's life.

I suggested to the seller that a LOT more pics of known rust areas, a very clear pic of the BSheet and a pic of the VIN on the radiator support, and a listing of all the loose parts (interior, moldings, wheels, etc etc) with accompanying pics would be good. And good pics of the hood and deck lid.

Let's hope someone wants to take on this project car.
