I love the look. What dimensions did you go with for wheels? Had you ever tried different wheels before the ladder bars? I'm looking to do some newer 18x 8.5ish wheels on my 66, but this seems almost like uncharted territory...

I used 15x10 wheels with 6 1/2 backspacing. The exact wheel for 79 and new Mustangs. I am running 325/50-15 M&H drag radials. This is the biggest set up you can use on a street car due tire shift when turning. On an all out drag car, a slightly wider tire can be used. With leaf springs in the stock location, a 15x8 with 4 1/2 with a 275/60-15 is about the best you can do. All the same to larger diameter wheels.
