I'm pretty sure that's a 1929 Durant 6-70. Not only does it have the Woodlite headlights, the lights on top of the front fenders match.

The side louvers kind of gave it away as a Durant, but I had to search more to find the model. Even found a pic with a girl in it! LOL.

This is funny... I was thinking late 40's GM from the 3 trim strips on the fender, but wasn't sure if it was a Pontiac or a Chevy. I did some googling and decided it was a Pontiac because the Chevy had the gas filler on the right fender. I also did a search on the picture and came up with this! PHOTOS Go about 1/2 way down the page and there's the picture with the caption "My Mom with some Columbia Pictures pals near Palms Springs in the 1940's."
