Welcome weirdbeard to FCBO!

Whoa whoa whoa! It’s cold and dark and scary outside right now. I promise to get pics tomorrow.
It has a Florida dealer badge on the rear deck lid. I bought it from the son of the owner who passed away. The son has a forties Dodge that he likes more so he decided to sell the Imp. The miles are probably higher since he drove to Florida every winter. The underside has always been oiled so at least there’s no rust. Just don’t wear any clothes you like when working on it!

Front seat isn’t ripped but the po put gorilla glue or something on it. Maybe it started to separate at the seam. Sorry some of the pics are turned sideways during upload. Not sure why.

Part of me says that those front seats have been reupholstered, they just look too smooth and overstuffed to have 53 year old foam in them. They look great though! I’ll have to spend some time with that tag later.
What a stunner!

They very well could have been redone. The entire interior was taken apart and put together haphazardly. Little things that drive me nuts.

Pretty early car built September 8th, a few short weeks after my silver car. Also stripe delete like my silver car.

Looks much better there than on my shelf!

Belated welcome! It would be great to see your 1972 Newport Royal's tag (GE5, I presume?), and some interior pics too!

Welcome from Winnipeg! Your Imperial wheel covers are from a 65.

Big thank you again @weirdbeard for posting the tag of CL41M2C167059 -- a sharp looking nice FE5 (not GE5, pardon my typo in Dec. 2020) Newport Royal

@superbyrd just acquired a 2dr T-code FE5 so you guys can compare notes!
