From RockAuto's latest newsletter. I've never heard of this before.

What is the Dodge Fratzog?

Answer: A. The triangular logo used by Dodge from the early 1960s through the late 1970s. (Dodge plans to bring back this triangle logo to use on its upcoming electric vehicles. Source: https://www.hemmings.com/...)

When the "Fratzog" was created, the name was given to the result. It was a purely made-up name for marketing purposes, and the name stuck to that design/emblem. I'm glad to see it is returning...even if it IS to Dodge's EV lineup.

Here' the Fratzog logo cast on a late '60s water pump used in all company lines. Sort of a triangle with a curved base side. First used in the '50s?

No, the DPCD logo was during the Forward Look years (along with the Forward Look arrowhead), and later replaced. But, you'll see overlap in the use of all three. The casting number for the part you show is 1966 or 1967, IIRC. The fratzog as seen on the hood ornament above, was primarily a Dodge-used emblem. As you said, you'll see it on parts, but not on the exteriors of non-Dodge vehicles.
