Yup I'm facing something similar on the '70 I'm afraid. Once 300rag perfects the technique we will tackle mine lol

I see nice painted metal there...that's a great start! not the crap I had to booger up...

What did you end up using to get the glue off? I'll be doing mine within the next couple weeks. Thanks.

I used this

I sprayed it on in sections, covered it with a thin plastic sheet for about 15 minutes to let it work without evaporating, then a 4" putty knife to scrape most of it off. The remainder I just used a rag and a bit more Goof Off. Total time spent actually working was about 2 1/2 hours.
