I found two 300's for sale that seem to be amalgamations of the 67 and 68 model year. One is described as a 68 and the other as a 67. They both have 67-looking front ends and 68 rear ends. When I saw the first one I figured it was a 68 that was in a front end collision and repaired with 67 parts. But when I found the second one it really made me wonder

The one described as a 68:

They are both 68s with 67 nose swaps. I have personally inspected the red vert in NH..... NASTY! the green one in Boston has a 68 fender on the drivers side, and a 67 fender on the passenger side!

One of our Buick club guys bough a '56 Buick for its engineering improvements over the '55s, but liked the '55 front end better. So he put a '55 front clip on his '56. He liked it. But when his stuff had to be liquidated, nobody wanted it. So the guy who was selling his accumulation had to find a '55 front end to put back on it just to sell it.

In this case of the 300s, the data plates and VINs should tell the tale.

Were there a few 67 front end parts left over at the end of the model year that wound up getting used on early 68 models? Mopar had a tendency to do that kind of stuff, and you may have just found 2 of them! Good luck
