If you are referring to the holes in the center of the head, my motor is like that too.

I don't think so. I'm not familiar enough with HP manifolds to ID them but they look humped to me.

If you look closely at this pic from my motor prior to install, you can see the void in the head. I think your 413 should have the same void.



In the pic below, you can see the void detail without the instake installed. I took this pic when I dropped a seat. Notice the lower exhaust valve on #5.

You are right. I think this one threw me off because it had been masked before painting and sticks out like a sore thumb.

Those voids are always chock full of odd nuts, bolts, and acorns.

That is there application per the FSM.
