I don't know what picture your looking at, but i see 062910. No 0 with a slash thru it in front of the 9 from what i see. Looks clear as day like a 2 to me.

I see a "0" with a slash.

Hard to tell if this is a St Regis coupe or 4drHT. If it's a coupe, it looks like it could be the super low mile one that was at Carlisle this year, and that we had the big dust-up about on the board a while back. It obviously has a light color body and a darker roof. Seat belts are a light color, so the interior is most likely gray, tan, or light blue. The car at Carlisle was a light gray St Regis with a black top and gray interior.

I don't think Richard's car was the last one off the assembly line. There are numerous cars manufactured after his car. He has the highest known VIN so far but that has nothing to do with date of actual manufacture.

To me the body style is 2-door w/St. Regis Package: I see a B-pillar and a relatively large distance between the rear window and the decorative frame on the inner C-pillar.

Any 4-door claimed to be the last C-body ever built can be dismissed right away.

Those that know every detail about their Formal inside and out will agree the interior side of the c-piller shows the the finished panel of a "St. Regis-style" roofline. And it's not a Salon because the steering wheel is not padded.
The last Formal was a 1978 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham St. Regis in white or a very light color.

The lack of the lower bumper guards would eliminate this car.

Thanks! I was looking around for the larger version of that photo, but couldn't find it using a google search.

No question that it's a St Regis now.

The most identifying features are the light color and darker vinyl top. The interior color is a tough call. It looks like the seat belt is a light color, but the dash looks fairly dark. The headrest looks too dark for it to be a white interior and the C pillar trim looks too light for red, burgundy, green, or brown. Most white St Regis coupes that we have seen have white tops on them. The top on this car is quite dark. Makes me keep wondering if it was the dove gray with black top car that was at Carlisle this year with the 400 or so original miles on it. That car is from the northeast and could have come out of the collection in New Jersey. I wish I had seen this photo sooner, as I would have checked out the gray car very closely and taken lots of photos.

Just found the thread on the dove gray/black top car that was at Carlisle. I see that it's already been determined that it was built on the 14th, so that one is ruled out. Also sounds like it came out of a collection in New England, so we still have the possibility of the New Jersey car being the last one. I'll see if I can get in touch with my friend Miles some time over the next week and get the details on that Jersey collection.

Watching Mecum Monterey today.....

Lot F30.1 1979 VW Super Beetle Vert with 176 miles. High bid was $55k and the owner wouldn't budge off the reserve. Mecum tried working a deal but no dice.

I think the owner's name was.......Lol!

The Belvidere Daily Republican, July 23, 1977, contains a one-page special dedicated to Belvidere Assembly (page 4). It deals with the end of C-body production there on Friday, July 15th.

Alas, all I can get is a small picture of the page:

If somebody else can get the bigger picture, that would be nice! @commando1, maybe?

Still tough to read, but it basically says that C Body production ceased at the Belvidere plant in July of 1977 and the plant was changed over for assembly of the Horizon and Omni which began in November of 1977.
