Most of us have more than one hobby car - I have three, along with two trucks, all Mopars. Two of them are '68 D100 LWB 4x2 Sweptline trucks, identical blue/white with 318 and automatic. One is lowered 3" all around on a stock suspension (i.e. NO air bags!), the other is a stock driver. I've owned my '66 Coronet 500 big block car for 34 years, and am the second owner. The New Yorker Brougham Salon is my wife's car, and you guys have recently met the Imperial convertible.

So, where do you take your cars? There is a weekly car gathering at a local Sonic on Thursdays that attracts anywhere from 25 - 75 cars in good weather. There is also a large cars-n-coffee on the first Saturday of each month, from March through November, that attracts anywhere from 100 - 400 cars! I like going to these, as it's just cars with their owners, regardless of make, condition, or age. I also attend perhaps five car shows per year (all local), and at least one road trip to a show more than 250 miles away per season. Our local Mopar show cancelled out this year, so I might go to the Wichita show soon. There is a 100-mile road trip for pre-'72 cars and trucks coming up this Saturday, that I believe will be the debut of the Imperial to the masses!

What are you guys doing with your C-body (or other car or truck?)

I'm not a big car show guy, so I only hit a few shows over the summer that I really enjoy. I do a "cars and coffee" on Saturday mornings (every week) and pick one of two cruise nights that I really like.

But... I've also done a lot of Sunday drives, one that comes to mind was touring the Finger Lakes wine trail.

If I get too busy and don't get the car out... I will even drive it to work. Last year, they opened the basement of the building I work in for parking and I have a spot down there, so the car is out of harm's way and isn't hot from the sun!

Carlisle is the big show but I will take them anywhere, the food store, the mall, relatives, the beach.... whenever I have the itch

We will attend a few local shows and cruise in's with either Jazebelle or my 65 Coronet 500 convertible.
But we also shoot for 2-3 long distance events a year. We've made two trips to Tennessee this summer ..... One to visit friends and one for a show. Each about 320 miles round trip.

We're gearing up for Carlisle now. It's 850 miles one way on surface roads and the blue ridge parkway, and will be towing a pop up camper with Jazebelle.

Then a trip to Michigan at the end of July. Jazebelle received an invitation to the Concours d'Elegance of America and we are allowed to go along. Another 1500 miles round trip.

We have attended the Turkey Run in Daytona Beach the past 6 years also but will likely go the the Don Garlits show in early November instead this year. We're thinking of taking the camper and spending some time on the Gulf coast too.

Throw in a few trips to the Bama Gulf coast and we're likely to rack up 8K miles this year. Thats a lot of gas through the ole 440....LOL.

I haven't taken my Newport to any shows/cruises yet. Basically its just been some minor cruising around town, hitting up the lake to park and chill or just quick little grocery store runs if I am driving and have a destination in mind.

I take my car anywhere I want to go. It's currently my daily driver. For the most part, that just means around town, but I'm planning on taking it up to Santa Monica to go to a cousin's wedding later this summer. In fact, it's not just for fun, but I have the only 6-passenger car, so if we want all 5 people in San Diego to go in one car, mine's the only choice. It's more economical, too! It's cheaper to drive one car at 13 mpg than two cars at 20.

I drive to a lot of car shows.
I usually don't drive to the weekly meets as you mostly meet the same guys/cars. I rather meet my firends chilling/grilling in the garden.

But on the weekends I try to attend as many shows as possible from march till november. I do most shows in a 250 mile radius (germany, netherlands, belgium) but make some road trips, usually two to sweden and once a year to England (Mopar nats).

In total I visit around 50 shows a year.
I like to drive my cars and see other classic american cars.
I am not into trophys so i usually never take part in judging

Patrick, what a great thread idea.

I just tool around on the weekend with my kids (3, 5, and 5), blowing the cobwebs out and annoying the neighbors. Haven't been able to do it much over the last couple months due to a series of out of state visitors, and now it's getting almost too hot to do it without working A/C. I would really like to get to the local Austin cars-n-coffee, which is supposed to be a good meetup, but am always locked in to some other obligation at that time (kids' soccer practice, swim class, etc.). Maybe I should just sell the damn thing. My wife would be overjoyed!

I am a car show guy, I love go to car show but I ALWAYS MISS THEM ! :D
So my car runs verry little.

I drive my NYB everywhere s long as there is no salt on the road. I live in Maryland and drive it work most days, to local car shows, and of course Carlisle. I drove from Aberdeen, Maryland to Green, Bay Wisconsin and parts in between last summer. That trip racked up 2500 miles alone.

I'm planning a retirement victory lap (either in the NYB or the Newport) in 3 years. I'm heading to Key West with my girlfriend that west to California and then north to Alaska and then make a run all the way across Canada and drop back in to the U.S. at Niagara Falls and then back home to Maryland.

I can't wait to get Goldie back on the road and drive her everywhere. Once I get a few hundred miles on her I will feel comfortable driving anywhere. She will be a driver no garage queen here.

If I don't need my truck and its not raining or snowing, I'll drive one of the classics. I put over 4K miles on my Challenger last summer and had a lot of fun in the process. What are they for if you don't drive them???
