Has anyone painted there bumpers like this? My bumpers are pretty shot and I can't afford to rechrome them,..so I thought of doing this. They are straight and have no dents. My front bumper is already the same color of the car but the rear is chrome, but in pretty bad shape. I think it looks pretty nice painted gray. What do you guys think?

Do not do it......just kidding. I could be wrong, but the bumper on that Dodge look like aluminum ones that were used to save weight.

Painted bumpers on my Demon. They were painted when I bought the car, so I just painted them again when I painted the rest of the car.

Some cars look good, Some look like crap, What do you like !!!! :mornincoffee:

It's all about what you want your car to look like.............

By the way ( AlleyOop2 ) that Demon looks good with the painted bumpers.

I think painted gray looks good but I don't mind them painted body color either.

I think the bumpers on that car are fiberglass or ABS, but I could get the same look by just painting them that color.

I like chrome a lot, but my bumpers look bad the way they are now. One is chrome that looks bad and the other is the same color as the car. I just can't afford it right now as we are helping a family in need. We took in 2 children and I need to watch my spending. I appreciate the feedback.

All depends how much you respect that it's first and foremost a Chrysler C-body and not a cool car to have your way with.
Then there's the other camp...

Thanks for the kind words guys! My opinion is what the color/ and what type of car it is. Some cars look good, and some cars don't.

Gotta disagree with you on "not a cool car". I think my Fury is badass, cool and not a monster C body like some. I guess I'm from the other camp!? LOL.

I guess this isn't cool, even though it does have chrome bumpers? LMAO..!!

I've always assumed that "painted" bumpers were in fact some light weight material like aluminum or plastic as mentioned above. Painting over chrome should be at best a temporary measure until the bumpers can be properly re-chromed. My .02.
