Ok, so Doc's old Lee is back on market place, this time under a different seller's name, not sure if the last time around was a scam...

Selling a clean 73 Chrysler imperial, Has 440 runs and drives great. Extremely hard to find in this condition. Clean title. 0 rot anywhere. 512626610515995 obo (Seats are not as faded as they appear to be on camera. The light washed it out. They are deep blue in real life)

I'm pretty sure Lee originated from Texas and then went to Wisconsin where I got her from and then to Minnesota with me and eventually then sold to Texas buyer...and now being offered out of Texas...I think it's legit...she's a beauty and I had a blast driving her.

I have spoken to the current owner of Lee, Nice guy. The link is going to one of his employees that was helping him list the car. The number in ad goes to Marks phone.

I was somewhat skeptical of the listing a few weeks ago, with so many scammers using other people's cars in their ads. Thanks for the insight.

Still looking sharp, I remember it when it came up on ebay and @LeBaron1973 bought it, always liked the white/blue combination.

Have we seen those two 1973 Imperials before?

A. 1973 4dr for sale on FB in Colton, Oregon. Looks like HT8 Chestnut or JY9 Tahitian Gold paint to me, with PDY4 gold or PDL3 parchment cloth and vinyl split-bench interior. Ask is $5,850; very short ad: "nice interior (headliner needs good cleaning). Has some blemishes. Good cruiser." The rim blow steering wheel seems uncracked, and I see no tears on the seats -- which to me are very good signs.

B. 1973 (listed as 1972) 4dr for sale on CL in Los Osos near San Luis Obispo, CA. Only two photos and just 4 words: "Always garaged. Excellent condition." Looks like JY6 Golden Haze to me, but of all people @DocMcNeedy should be able to confirm. @73Coupe

Thanks @rags -- apparently I did not search the thread back far enough. The asking price is down from $20k to $15k.

So the guy who I was talking to “Owen” never sold the Holy Grail 7,000 mile survivor, and ignored me for two weeks when I had cash ready to go. The car ends up at Carlisle (which I saw) and then his friend Bill puts up this story. That’s a shitty thing to do to someone. Buyer beware.
