My project is a 1965 New Yorker. It is my Father's car but I'll be the one working on it. We have been in AZ for the past couple of years and the car has mostly been sitting in the garage in PA. It was driven about twice in the last 2 years. The last time we drove it the brakes went out. The bushing in the master cylinder went bad. I just replaced the master cylinder and was bleeding the brakes, when we noticed that the brake pedal takes longer than it should to return. So we aren't sure why this is. Haven't started the car, would like to have it out of the garage before we start it. Any ideas of what could be the cause of the slow brake pedal return?

The car is all original. Still has the original paint, interior needs to be redone.

I completely disassembled and reassembled this car so if you have any questions, feel free to PM me. All '65 Chryslers are pretty much the same.

Yours is a beautiful car. This weekend I'm going to get the car out of the garage and rebuild all of the brakes.

I see your in Pottstown, will you be going to the Chrysler event at Carlisle in July?

If I hopped into my engine bay and spent the next year with a tooth brush, I couldn't get it to look that beautiful. NICE work.

It has been run in about 8 years and it has gas in it still to. So that is a project in itself to get going again.

Only Pictures I have:

Pernt neer had an organism when I saw this. Sweeeet.

I've had a '57 Fireflite for 20+ years, but the engine took a dump at 57,000 miles, it has been off the road since '62

This has some rust issues with the rockers, lower quarters, and back edge of the trunk.

If anyone knows a source for some pieces, it would be much appreciated.

Being as the original drivetrain is toast, this will either get a 871 blown 528 Hemi, or a NA 572 Hemi. I'm not sure what I think of anything sticking through the hood though. I just think if this was a 10 sec street car, it would get a reputation that was hard to forget.
